Objective The goal of this inventive campaign was to sell as many tickets as possible to Anthony's show in London.

Our customer, Brainy Business, to their credit, knew that it was difficult selling the services of an American motivational speaker to a British audience. After all, how do you overcome the cheesy sentimentality we expect from American speakers?

Brainy Business asked us to look past the television commercials and to look past our own prejudices (and we can't pretend they weren't there). What would make this proposition fly to the people we were emailing?

It was the facts. It was the track record. It was the belief. We aimed to get over in Brainy Business's email that this was an opportunity to spend time around other business owners. Business owners at various different stages of their existence - from the very successful to the wet-behind-the-ears.

For this campaign, we needed to contact companies who could afford to send 3 or more delegates to the conference.
What were the results? Brainy Business were allocated a certain number of tickets by the event organisers and the first email campaign proved to be successful and profitable.

They continued to rebook campaigns with us until about a week before the campaign and email marketing through Meridian Delta turned out to be a valuable contribution to their efforts.

   
All figures given are based on customer correspondence with us. Email marketing is a form of advertising, and as with all advertising it can be successful as well as unsuccessful. We do not guarantee any level of response. On average, for every 1,000 email sent out, there are 1-2 opt outs, even fewer than fax broadcasting! When we receive an opt-out, we remove the number from all databases to ensure they are never emailed by us or the pool participants again.
