This one is quite specialist - our customers buys executive and luxury cars from people and aims to get them a better deal on their new car than if they part-exchanged at a garage.

Based in Liverpool but covering as far south as Cheshire and as far east as Leeds, our customer does a lot of business and has built a loyal client base for himself.

Our customer has been with us since Summer 2003, running campaigns every couple of months to remind potential customers thinking about selling.

Objective With this being quite an unusual offer, it required an individual approach (not used on any campaign before or since).

The two main objectives are to a) get people ready to sell calling up and b) getting people to bookmark our customer's page for the time when they need them in the future.

We needed also to get across the idea that money was waiting on the table for the seller and that they wouldn
't have to wait a long time to receive an offer.

Our targets were perfect for our customer - all directors and chairmen of companies who are more likely to own the type of car our customer wanted to buy. The profit margin on standard cars meant that it was not worth buying them
What were the results? At time of writing, the customer has used us continuously for 3-and-a-half years.

We occasionally rotate his adverts to ensure that people still notice the advertisements, and it works.

   
All figures given are based on customer correspondence with us. Email marketing is a form of advertising, and as with all advertising it can be successful as well as unsuccessful. We do not guarantee any level of response. On average, for every 1,000 email sent out, there are 1-2 opt outs, even fewer than fax broadcasting! When we receive an opt-out, we remove the number from all databases to ensure they are never emailed by us or the pool participants again.
