Objective Originally another fax customer, they became interested in trying our email service as part of a last minute promotional campaign at a traditionally quiet time of the year.

The versions of Maximizer our customer sells are high-end versions - they require personalisation and installation. Given the pressing nature of the campaign, our job was to help to fix as many appointments with potential customers as possible for their professional sales staff.
Why did they choose us? Price - our email costs are probably the lowest in the UK for specialist business-to-business marketing. Why? We're interested in getting repeat business from you, not just the one-offs. Quality data from quality suppliers.

In common with their fax campaigns, our customer was looking to get in touch with companies with 10 or more staff, as the type of package they were offering was unsuitable for micro- and small-businesses.
What were the results? We sent out 10,000 emails for Avrion. The results were very promising. Unusually for an email campaign with us, the scope of the brief required the email to be quite lengthy and detailed. On most occasions, we try to stick solely to the selling points in order to maximise the number of enquiries.

In this instance, our customer did not want to be deluged with leads as it would overstretch the capacity of their sales team to go out and see the potential clients. So, this one was far more detailed, and required reading. Any phone calls or enquiries gained would qualify as much stronger enquiries. In the end, the customer still ended up with 8 very strong leads, although it would surely have been much higher if the attention demanded of the reader was less.

All figures given are based on customer correspondence with us. Email marketing is a form of advertising, and as with all advertising it can be successful as well as unsuccessful. We do not guarantee any level of response. On average, for every 1,000 email sent out, there are 1-2 opt outs, even fewer than fax broadcasting! When we receive an opt-out, we remove the number from all databases to ensure they are never emailed by us or the pool participants again.
