CURRENT MARKET
UPDATE There's no
doubt that the car market has suffered in the
recession. Looking back at 2006, we'd get up to
40 car leasing companies using us a month - now
that's down to around 5 or 6. The normal flight
from advertising has happened during a
recession.
Whereas with previous campaigns, it might cost
£15 a new lead, it's now costing around £35 a
new lead on successful campaigns. The market for
car leasing is still out there, albeit it 40%
smaller than in 2006. If you can, add £2 or £3 a
month to your lease price to make back the
increase in customer acquisition costs.
