The Fax
Preference Service |
 |
Anybody using fax marketing in the UK has to abide by the Fax Preference Service (FPS).

The FPS is a centrally-held, government-regulated opt-out list of fax numbers - it's illegal to fax them. With Meridian Delta, you are covered with our double guarantee. |

|

 |
 |
 |
Under the law, you can only fax private limited
companies, public limited companies, charities and
public sector organisations.
You can however only fax these organisations if
their number has not been listed on the FPS
register. Customers use the FPS service to stop
receiving unsolicited sales faxes.
Under no circumstances are you allowed to fax
individuals, sole traders, or partnerships unless
you have their prior written consent.
Failure to observe these regulations will mean
investigation by Data Commissioner at the Fax
Preference Service. Although fines on first and
second offences are rare, fines from the third
illegal fax advert can go to £5,000 per fax.
|
|
Registering on the FPS does work, and can reduce
the number of unsolicited faxes to near nothing.
If you are considering using fax advertising but
do not wish to go through a company like us,
please make sure you comply with these
regulations.
All numbers are double checked before they are
sent out - by two different outside contractors.
If a mistake happens, you're covered.
ALL MERIDIAN DELTA FAX CAMPAIGNS OBEY THESE
REGULATIONS AND IT IS IN OUR SALES TERMS AND
CONDITIONS THAT WE TAKE FULL LEGAL AND FINANCIAL
RESPONSIBILITY SHOULD WE MAKE A MISTAKE. |
