been done for years by dealers large and small.
With us, you can add this successful marketing

STUDY ONE -
Selling consumer tariffs
|
Despite the fact that the faxes are going to businesses, many companies sell consumer tariffs by fax. For example, one company is currently offering a DVD player free with a Vodafone tariff at £11.99 per month including itemised billing?

Many companies put a banner across the top of the page saying "Please pass this fax to everyone in the office".

ADVANTAGES - The average number of employees per office we send faxes to is 5. For every fax you send out, about 5 people will see your offer. |
 |
 |
STUDY TWO -
Selling business tariffs |
A minority of mobile phone dealerships use fax broadcasting to try and sell higher commission business line rental deals. Popular offers seem to be with Vodafone and
O2 business tariffs, although the new cross-net Orange tariffs are currently popular with fax broadcasters.

Many companies will send out a four or five section questionnaire on their fax promising to save the company money on their current mobile phone expenditure. Returned faxes give the dealer an idea of current running costs and how many handsets they require. |

 |
| Typical faxing
lists requested by dealers offering consumer
tariffs |
For both consumers and business, there are two types of lists requested more often than not. There is first a generic list - sending faxes to a selection of all available fax numbers. Second, sending faxes to companies with more than 5 employees - this reduces the overall number pool by around 20%. |

General offers
made by dealers on fax broadcasts
|
There are currently many successful variations on broadcasts selling mobile phones.

CONSUMER ORIENTATED - Most faxes successfully offer a combination of low line rental together with
cashback, a period of free line rental, or an offer, such as a DVD player, to be given away two or three months after the phone has been connected. TIP - consumer faxes offering mobile number porting within 2 weeks seem to get increased responses.

BUSINESS TARGETED - Business faxes tend to follow one of three successful formulae. First, Vodafone and
O2 business tariffs with either most or all of the first year's line rental paid back by
cheque. This is offered less now because our dealers tell commissions on these tariffs have dropped and there are now minimum call spend requirements on most. Second, buy one get one free offers again on Vodafone and
O2 business tariffs.

Third, a survey fax asking businesses about their current mobile provision - response rates tend to be lower for this type of fax but a lot of information on particular customers is gleaned and respondents tend to be more serious about changing handsets/providers. |
