the EMN service?
An opt-in news service going
direct to 700 ICT teachers
within primary and secondary
schools. You can get your
message direct to an ICT
teacher's inbox without having
to rely on the school's
administrator to forward it on.
Does
every ENM go with an advert?
Two to three EMN emails are sent
every week - only one per week
will feature advertising.
What's
in a normal EMN email?
ICT teachers get specific news
to them in their emails.
Information sent is unique and
does not consist of recycled
press releases from the DCSF or
from standard educational
titles.
Any
special information to consider?
As this is a news service to ICT
teachers, no graphics, logos or
attachments are allowed in your
EMN email. There is a general
writing style to the email
service and we may need to
rewrite your advert so it fits
into this style.
Can I
track clickthroughs?
Yes - there's just an additional
£15 to provide this service for
you. You'll be able to see how
many ICT teachers clicked
through.
What
are response rates like?
They can be similar to a direct
mailing campaign as the EMN
service is very targeted. |

This is a one-time per week
opt-in email service. The ICT
teachers contained on the list
have all indicated that they
wish to receive these emails and
full audit trails are available.
Does
this cover all types of schools?
No - the ICT teachers you'll be
sending your offers to on this
service work within secondary
schools only.
What is
a personal email?
These are the email addresses of
the teachers within the schools
themselves - they are all
personalised and not generic.
Any
special information to consider?
In order for maximum
deliverability, there are no
graphics or attachments allowed when
you send to ICT teachers with
this service. However, add your logo at the top of the
email for just £15.
Clickthroughs and open rates
Clickthroughs and open rates are
included as part of this
service. You'll be able to see
how many ICT teachers clicked
through to your website and
opened your emails.
What
are response rates like?
Much higher than emails sent for
the school administrator to
forward. You'll also receive a
chart comparing your response

the preferred email service?
Some schools have a policy where
all inbound emails must go
through the school secretary.
For these types of schools, the
name of the ICT teacher will be
placed in the subject line for
the school's administrator to
forward to him/her.
Primary
and/or secondary schools?
Just secondary schools - there
are no primary school ICT
teachers contained in this
service
What
does the subject line look like?
When the school's administrator
sees the email, s/he will read
"Attention: Mr A Smith, Head of
ICT". This indicates to the
administrator that the email has
not been sent blind.
You can
add your logo to the email for
£15
Other than that, for maximum
deliverability, no other
graphics are allowed and neither
are attachments.
