Just as with mobile phones, car leasing works over the fax because it brings the shop direct to the busy business owner. The car lease fax advert brings them usually over 50 different makes of car at very competitive rates - for that business owner to visit his local showrooms to obtain access to this variety of cars would slow his or her business up for a number of days.

One company came to us from another fax broadcaster satisfied with the level of response they were getting, but unhappy about the quality of leads. This company sold prestige cars and had finance agreements with major high-street banks, however the people who responded called about the lower-priced end of their range and often had credit problems which meant they were turned down for finance.

To help this company, we had to devise a marketing strategy (with their first free fax designed by Ashton Creative) where the car asked for would produce higher profit for them, and find candidates likelier to pass credit.

SOLUTION - Based in London, this company did not want to trade outside the M25. With
us, you can target by postcode, as well as by line of business and company size. By targeting this band, the decision makers felt easier about spending an extra £100 per month on a car lease and would also have a much higher chance of passing credit. Response rates fell about 20% from their previous fax broadcaster, but the gross profit on the campaign nearly doubled within one month. |

Vehicle financing, whether lease hire, contract hire, etc., is a diverse market with a large number of options available both in terms of cars/vans and finance (prime/sub-prime). Most of our clients are happy to finance a car for anyone, and subsequently choose a generic business list. |

The vehicle finance/leasing marketplace is very competitive, especially over rates and vehicles on offer.

While some faxes concentrate purely on leased cars, others will offer contract hire and finance arrangements where title of the vehicle passes to the driver at the end of the term. The faxes are quite diverse in terms of graphical layout, some featuring photographs (which generally do not fax very well) down to centred Microsoft Word documents in Times New Roman font.

There is no evidence, based on our customers' experiences, that graphics on the page in any way affect response rates. In terms of text, most car lease faxes consist of a listing of cars, monthly finance price and package type. |
