Xaverian College, Manchester, is seeking a Principal
Pay Scale: £75,000 to £80,000 per year (with possibility of relocation expenses)
Xaverian College is a highly successful Roman Catholic mixed Sixth Form College with 1500 students with a wide range of ethnic backgrounds, located in Victoria Park, Manchester. The College benefits from a recent £6 million investment in new buildings. The College offers a wide range of Academic and Vocational Courses at Levels 1, 2 and 3 with many students successfully mixing course types to suit their needs. In partnership with the University of Manchester, the College runs a very successful Undergraduate Foundation Year Programme in Life Sciences, Medicine and Dentistry. Currently 75 undergraduates are involved in these courses. It also runs a very successful pre-University Art Foundation Course.

The successful applicant will:
• be a committed Catholic able to maintain and develop the Christian character of the College and its willingness to welcome those of other denominations and faiths

• understand education in the context of current 14-19 developments and be able to translate this into a vibrant experience for each student

• be active in promoting partnerships with students, parents, partner schools and the Catholic and wider community

• have the knowledge and understanding of funding and finance essential to successfully manage a £6.5m enterprise

• possess the interpersonal and communication skills necessary to lead a dedicated and capable staff

• have undertaken appropriate professional development and have achieved success in a senior management role
